Sarah Butler is a multi-disciplined designer, Illustrator and Art Director based in London.

Growing up, I always wanted to be an artist. Drawing everything I could see and scribbling my random thoughts into doodles and designs which then morphed digitally as I grew older.

 

I went off to study fashion communication at Liverpool Uni and then went off even further around the globe, extending my creative eye to some freelance briefs and taking in new experiences and cultures.

Returning to the UK by now as more of a grownup, with the passion and the Creative Cloud, I had the clearest, brightest notion to need to be in with the creative crowd, so I came down to London and jumped in at the deep end. I find there's always a huge amount of ideas just ready to burst in my head and just want to share this for all the world to see.

I took the intrepid step of becoming a creative freelancer and then becoming a permanent member of the team at some really awesome agencies . I have already made my mark with some eclectic and cool clients, brands and projects by harnessing my creativity to nail brand driven and commercial briefs.  So, now I  am a fully-fledged designer / illustrator.

I love what I do & I am so grateful that I get to do this everyday.

I have a self-disciplined, focused approach when working solo however I also find that one of the best feelings is being part of a team. I believe that big ideas are the catalyst for great creativity, but without meticulous attention to detail and style, the execution falls flat. My work is centred around a balance of strategy and exploration. I also enjoy how my creativity works across all medias and digital platforms, to engage and interact with everyone.
